Beer and Cans Added to the Aluminum Derivatives List

On April 2, 2025, the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) announced the addition of two new derivatives to the Section 232 aluminum derivatives list.

Effective April 4, 2025, beer and empty aluminum cans will be subject to the additional aluminum derivative tariffs of 25%.
