NISHI NIPPON ‘RAILROAD’

Why ‘Railroad’ In The Company Name?

In the past, employees drew blueprints and maintained the rail tracks themselves. As a company, we have grown significantly and while our labour and group operations have been divided, building railroads is where our company's history began.

The technology and thoughts of our predecessors, who opened towns and contributed to local communities through civil engineering and construction, and all that they handed down from generation to generation, are all contained in that word ‘railroad’!

The Nishitetsu Group corporate brand is “trustworthiness, reliability and a sense of security”, built through constant attention to “safety and peace-of-mind” over a long period. NNR Global Logistics has enjoyed similar and continued organic growth since our business was first licensed in 1948.

KEY TENETS

The Bedrock Of Our Legacy

Our key principles serve as our guiding light, leading us in our pursuit of excellence and integrity.

  • Quality Control
    • NNR ensures proactive quality control across global operations. Our Quality Management System (QMS) is universally adopted, regulating practices for continuous improvement and compliance. NNR subsidiaries, holding diverse quality accreditations like AEO and ISO, leverage the 'Quality & Environmental Issues' program for swift resolution and continually enhance operations using customer feedback and performance statistics.

  • Commitment
    • NNR values long-term relationships and value-driven relationships. Our core principles prioritise safety and our customers. By actively listening, adapting to change, and providing unparalleled service, we strive to be your most trusted partner.

  • Integrity
    • As a subsidiary of the Nishitetsu Group, we align with their tradition of community-centric businesses. Committed to upholding community trust, our dedicated senior employees champion best practices, fostering a culture of honesty and legality. Internal and external 'whistleblower' contact points ensure compliance reporting within our group.

  • Environment Sustainability
    • NNR is dedicated to environmental responsibility, engaging employees, partners, and customers to minimize impact. Adhering to ISO14001 standards, we set goals, gather regular feedback, and promote collective responsibility to preserve the environment for future generations.

  • Corporate Social Responsibility
    • Our CSR commitment focuses on community development, stakeholder expectations, and internal control systems. Cover art made by children for reporting documents highlights NNR's involvement in global school initiatives. Access CSR reports and Anti-Bribery statements in Resources.

  • Risk Management and Security
    • The Safety Management Committee focuses on enhancing safety, guided by the Fundamental Safety Policy. Our commitment extends to both cargo and personnel through strict compliance with approved security protocols, including AEO, C-TPAT, and TAPA certification.
