Our history
1908
The inception
In the past, employees drew blueprints and maintained the rail tracks. Despite substantial growth and organisational evolution, our roots lie in railroad construction. The technology and thoughts of our predecessors, who opened towns and contributed to local communities through civil engineering and construction are all contained in that word ‘railroad’!

The NNR journey begins! - Registration of establishment of Kyushu Electric Tramway Co., Ltd. (the predecessor of our company)

Our first electric vehicle! - Fukuhaku Electric Tramway begins transportation operations.

NNR gets licensed
NNR is a member of the Nishitetsu Group that boasts a rich history and has been acknowledged as a provider of high quality products since it's foundation at the beginning of the previous century.

In the past, employees drew blueprints and maintained the rail tracks themselves. As a company, we have grown significantly and while our labour and group operations have been divided, building railroads is where our company's history began.
The technology and thoughts of our predecessors, who opened towns and contributed to local communities through civil engineering and construction, and all that they handed down from generation to generation, are all contained in that word ‘railroad’!
