Disruptions at London Heathrow Airport following power outage

A fire at an electrical substation in Hayes, approximately 2 miles away from the airport, late Thursday night, has caused a major power outage, forcing London Heathrow Airport (LHR) to shut down operations until 23:59 GMT today, 21st March 2025. The incident has not only affected the airport but also nearby residential areas.

We are pleased to share that NNR suffered no power outage and remain fully operational. However, as a result of the fire, all flights to and from Heathrow are either cancelled or being rerouted to alternative airports. While Heathrow is expected to reopen over the weekend, significant disruptions to flight schedules and cargo operations will likely continue for several days.

Our operations teams are closely monitoring the situation and working to mitigate the impact on shipments. We advise customers to contact their local NNR representatives for updates on specific shipments.

We will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
